Martin Pringle Conference

Respected.
Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace & Bauer, L.L.P., has a long-standing history that commands the respect of peers and clients alike. Martin, Pringle was founded in 1951 by Robert Martin and Kenneth Pringle. Mr. Martin and Mr. Pringle first associated their unique skills to service clients in the oil and gas business. Since then, the firm has grown and diversified to become one of the largest law firms in Kansas with offices in Wichita and Overland Park, (Kansas City), Kansas.

The firm fosters close relationships with its clients. Martin, Pringle represents both large and small clients, individuals and corporate entities. Our clients want to know their attorneys and want their attorneys to know and care about them and their businesses. Our firm, consisting of thirty-three attorneys, is of a size to offer unsurpassed resources and expertise in its specialties.

Martin, Pringle engages in general civil, trial and appellate practice in a wide range of areas including aviation law, insurance law, products liability, employment law, environmental law, workers compensation, oil and gas law, business and commercial law, intellectual property, probate and estate planning, taxation, real estate, bankruptcy, banking, immigration law, adoption, medical malpractice defense and collections.

With more than 50 years of experience, Martin, Pringle is committed to understanding more than just the purely legal aspects of our clients’ affairs. The firm sees each client as unique and provides the specific services needed by that client. Our job is to help clients constantly meet the new challenges of a changing world.

Reliable.
Under the leadership of Mr. Martin and Mr. Pringle, the firm has grown by expanding and diversifying its practice, both nationally and internationally, into a full-service law firm. Our goals and mission can be stated as follows:

  • To service our clients by delivering nothing less than the highest- quality work product that can be generated;
  • To serve as zealous advocates of our clients’ positions, always acting well within the bounds of ethical conduct;
  • To be fair and honest in our dealings with clients, the courts, our adversaries, and others with whom we do business;
  • To be selective in our associations within the firm, to ensure that all who take part in our practice adhere to the firm’s traditions and standards of quality, ethics and honesty;
  • To create an environment in which we enjoy and are stimulated by the practice of law, and by our associations with those within the firm.

Results Oriented.
The litigating partners at Martin, Pringle have tried hundreds of cases, including many of the most complex in their fields. Our litigators’ vast trial experience results in more focused strategies, and a more disciplined, cost-effective discovery and preparation process. Our willingness to go to trial, and ability to realistically assess the merits of a case, increase the chances for a favorable settlement. As our record shows, we are accustomed not only to trying cases, but delivering the results our clients want.

Rather than considering each matter as an isolated legal issue, Martin, Pringle sees its work as a means of helping the client to achieve its overall objectives. For instance, Martin, Pringle, which is responsible for supervising all accident investigations for an aviation client, designed and administered a system for tracking all claims and coordinating any subsequent litigation. To benefit our aviation clients, Mr. Martin spoke with numerous industry groups, drafted the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994 (GARA) and testified before Congress with respect to its enactment.

Martin, Pringle’s attorneys keep themselves informed of the latest in their legal specialties. For example, the attorneys practicing in the aviation area are active members in organizations which focus on aviation-related issues, such as the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel and their aviation law sections.

Martin, Pringle measures its success not only by the firm’s own longevity but by that of its client relationships. It is not unusual for clients to stay with us for decades; often a relationship that begins in one specialty practice grows into others, where we provide the same high quality, cost-effective services. Between specific matters, we take a continuing interest in our clients’ affairs, keeping them abreast of developments that we feel affect their interests. Whether providing counsel in one area or across a wide range, over time we build their trust.

A law partnership should be more than just a set of technical skills. It should be a compatible group of people providing legal resources their clients need, all at the highest standards of excellence and at reasonable cost. For more than 50 years, a wide variety of businesses and individuals have found Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace & Bauer, L.L.P., to offer not only the expertise but also the people, values, and style of operation that gives them comfort and confidence.
