Bio
Doug Pringle is a member of the fourth generation of his family to work in the legal field, and the third generation to be an attorney. Although not formally educated as an attorney, Doug’s great grandfather served as a probate court judge in Alma, Kansas. Doug’s grandfather, Ken Pringle, Sr., was an attorney in Wichita, and previously had worked for Henry Ford as a member of the Ford Peace Expedition to Europe prior to the entry of the United States into World War I. Doug’s father, Ken Pringle, Jr., was one of the founding members of Martin Pringle. Doug concentrates his practice on transactional matters involving energy law, estate planning and administration, and real estate. Doug also serves as president of the K.T. Wiedemann Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the lives of Kansans by supporting the arts, health initiatives, youth, the elderly, and the disadvantaged.
Energy Law
Doug has traveled to nearly every energy-producing county in Kansas to conduct title examinations and to research other ownership interests in real property. He prepares oil and gas leases and helps clients understand how pre-existing, often longstanding, contracts may affect their mineral rights or interests in real property. Doug also advises clients on general matters concerning real property issues involving energy law.
Estate Planning and Estate Administration
Much of Doug’s practice focuses on assisting individuals with estate planning and asset protection. Doug helps clients determine what estate planning tools are best for them and then prepares the trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance care directives that most appropriately fit their needs and succession-planning goals.
