Practicing in

Bio

Kelly Clark accepted a part-time position at a law firm when she was a freshman in high school. She quickly determined that she had no intention of straying from the legal profession, the practitioners she admired, and the clients she was dedicated to helping. Today, she remains committed to educating her clients and helping them find peace of mind.

Estate Planning

Estate planning involves choices made during a client’s lifetime that outline the client’s wishes in the event of incapacity or death. Kelly’s goal is for clients of all ages to feel well educated about their options and comfortable with their choices. With that in mind, she carefully evaluates her clients’ needs and desires and guides them through the maze of options concerning wills, trusts, health care directives, and powers of attorney.

Kelly’s practice also includes elder law and planning for special needs. She is a dependable resource for adult children who are faced with making decisions for aging and infirm parents. Likewise, she assists parents of incapacitated adults who will not be able to manage their affairs independently once their parents are deceased.

Putting the right estate plan in place for each client requires discretion, compassion, and diligence. Kelly has these attributes and she puts them to good use, helping clients plan for the future and for the protection of their families and loved ones.

Estate and Trust Administration

Estate administration is the process of overseeing the orderly transfer of assets after death, according to the wishes expressed in an estate plan.  Because Kelly invests the time and possesses the skills to draft estate plans that meet clients’ needs, her clients are secure in the knowledge that their wishes will be carried out as they direct.

Kelly also provides counsel to estate executors and to trustees of the assets of incapacitated or elderly individuals.  As executors or trustees, these clients have responsibilities under both the estate or trust documents, and under the law.  Kelly provides invaluable assistance in helping these clients legally and responsibly manage the estate or trust assets with which they have been entrusted.

Completing these tasks is often a delicate process.  Kelly treats every estate and trust administration with compassion and consideration.

Guardianships and Conservatorships

Kelly’s practice in the area of guardianships and conservatorships includes assisting family members or others in becoming guardians or conservators of children or incapacitated adults and, in some cases, in serving as a guardian ad litem. A guardian makes personal decisions on behalf of a ward, such as where the ward will live, training, education, and so forth. A conservator is vested with the power to make financial decisions, such as entering into contracts or paying bills.
