Bio

Megan Monsour is a young attorney with a sharp intellect and a passion for the practice of law.  She clerked at Martin Pringle during law school and joined the firm as an associate after graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law with honors in 2008.

Adoption

Megan knew, even as a law school student, that she wanted her practice to include an emphasis on adoption law.  She often represents adoptive parents or birth mothers in private placement adoptions, and she works diligently to assist the parties to identify a suitable match and attain permanency and stability for children through adoption.  Megan represents adoptive parents in a variety of other adoption matters as well, including contested adoptions, agency placements, foster care adoptions, step-parent adoptions, and relative adoptions.  She also represents prospective guardians in custody matters, such as those involved in child in need of care (CINC) proceedings.  In addition, Megan works on cases involving gestational carrier agreements and surrogacy agreements.

Guardianships and Conservatorships

Megan has represented proposed guardians and conservators for both children and incapacitated adults.

Employment Law

Megan’s work on employment-related matters includes representing employers facing claims of age, race, gender, disability, and religious discrimination.
