Bio

Bill Oliver is one of the country’s leading aviation and product liability lawyers.  For more than 40 years, he has represented aircraft and aircraft-components manufacturers and other aviation related businesses in products liability actions and in related civil and commercial litigation matters.  He represents aviation clients in products liability cases throughout the United States and internationally.  Bill has been named to International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers.

Aviation Law

Bill has a thorough understanding of aviation systems and components and has participated in accident investigations for the firm’s aviation clients. He has helped aircraft manufacturers navigate the highly complex regulatory systems that govern general aviation aircraft and military aircraft.

Products Liability

Bill has participated as counsel in product liability cases filed in the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines among other nations. He is well versed in the defenses applicable to those cases, including the General Aviation Revitalization Act (GARA) defenses, the government contractor defense, and procedural issues such as jurisdiction and forum non conveniens. Bill has worked in product liability insurance renewals for 35 years.
