Meet Robert Moody

Robert Moody was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and lived there for the first ten years of his life.  To this day, he remains a rabid Auburn fan.  When he was in grade school, Robert and his family moved to Protection, Kansas, a little town full of friendly people.

Robert became a licensed attorney in 2014, after gaining over 15 years of valuable legal experience in Wichita’s legal community as a legal assistant, federal court clerk’s office operations specialist, and courtroom deputy for a federal district court judge, where he absorbed various aspects of federal criminal proceedings from a bird’s eye view. He is proud of his path all the way from small town Kansas to becoming a member of the The National Black Lawyers Top 100 list and a partner at Martin Pringle.

After obtaining his law degree, Robert took this knowledge and experience to create a legal practice he loves - representing, defending and advocating for individuals facing criminal charges. Robert takes the time to explain the complex legal system to his clients. This begins by explaining the charges, explaining the elements of the crimes the individual is charged with, discussing with the client the government’s burden of proof related to the charges, the potential penalties and punishments associated with the charges, and the different strategies and techniques that can be employed based on the charges and the evidence.

In addition to criminal defense, Robert represents and advocates for individuals going through the emotional and painful issues associated with a divorce, custody battle, or having children temporarily removed from the home. Going through a divorce or a child custody battle or dealing with the Department of Children and Family can be a major life crisis. Robert counsels his client through the overwhelming process of family law court in a calm and professional manner.

As a partner at Martin Pringle, Robert is able to utilize his experience, education, knowledge and passion for advocacy in conjunction with the substantial resources and support of the firm.

Robert’s practice focuses on criminal defense, DUI defense, and traffic offenses as well as divorce and family law.  He is a member of many professional and civic organizations, including Urban Professionals of Wichita, Community Operations Recovery Empowerment, Habitat for Humanity, the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.
