Considered the backbone of Martin Pringle’s hiring strategy, our Summer Clerkship Program is designed to provide a glimpse of life as a new attorney at Martin Pringle. Projects range from legal research and writing to fact investigation and development. Summer clerks are also encouraged to accompany our attorneys to court hearings and trials, depositions and closings on transactional matters. Rather than having a central collection point for projects, our Summer Associates are approached by and work directly with partners on real matters, for real clients.
Our Summer Associates are not assigned to a particular practice group. Instead, we encourage a broad range of projects across all of Martin Pringle’s practice areas. Our hope is that by providing different professional experiences, our Summer Associates may gain insight into the areas of practice that interest them for the future.
The work performed by our Summer Associates is important, and we hold it to the same high standard as work performed by any attorney at Martin Pringle. At the same time, there is ample opportunity to get to know our attorneys outside the office at various social functions, such as lawyer league softball, golf outings, client events and casual dinner parties. We even hold a much-heralded Burger Week.
The Summer Clerkship Program is approximately ten weeks long and it is open to both first year and second year law students. Martin Pringle participates in on-campus interviewing on a number of campuses. We also encourage interested students from other schools to submit a resume and cover letter to our Human Resources Director.
