Michelle Moe Witte helps businesses solve problems, manage risk, and achieve their goals. For more than 20 years, she has served as a trusted advisor to organizations of all sizes, from startups and family-owned businesses to nonprofit organizations and established regional and national companies. Clients value her practical, pragmatic approach and her ability to deliver legal guidance that supports business objectives rather than standing in their way.

Michelle is a recognized leader in the Wichita community, having served as President of the Wichita Bar Association, Wichita SHRM, and Music Theatre Wichita. Her leadership experience extends beyond the practice of law and provides valuable insight into the operational, governance, and strategic challenges organizations face. She currently serves on the boards of United Way of the Plains, Rainbows United, and the WSU Tech Foundation, further strengthening her connection to the business and nonprofit communities she serves.

While waiting in line at a convenience store to buy soup for her husband who wasn't feeling well, Michelle witnessed a woman win $1,000,000 with a Kansas Lottery Holiday Millionaire Raffle Ticket! Michelle left with the soup and $.67.

Michelle's practice combines her extensive employment law experience with a growing focus on business and transactional matters, including business operations and governance, commercial contracts, real estate transactions, and banking and financial services. She enjoys serving as "outside general counsel" for her clients, providing the strategic guidance of an in-house attorney while bringing the broad perspective and resources of private practice. Whether helping a company navigate a significant business decision, improve internal processes, negotiate key agreements, manage employment issues, or resolve disputes, Michelle focuses on practical solutions that drive efficiency and long-term success.

A seasoned attorney and accomplished trial lawyer, Michelle continues to counsel and represent employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She advises clients on compliance, employee relations, workplace investigations, handbooks and policies, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, compensation matters, and risk management. When disputes arise, she effectively represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

Michelle's unique combination of litigation experience and business counseling allows her to identify risks early, negotiate effectively, and help clients avoid costly disputes whenever possible. She understands that business leaders need responsive, actionable advice and works to provide solutions that are legally sound, commercially reasonable, and aligned with organizational goals.
