Meet Rafa

Rafael Alcolea first came to Kansas after being recruited to play soccer on scholarship at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. Rafa ultimately graduated with honors with a degree in clinical/research psychology. An internship in Sterling for a pharmaceutical company unexpectedly led him to consider law school for the first time, after working directly for the company CEO who was also an attorney. Rafa completed his law degree at the Florida State University College of Law where he was an active volunteer for Tallahassee’s Veterans Legal Clinic and a Teaching Assistant for classes such as Torts, Enterprise Risk, and Employment Law. While a busy law student, he also worked as a law clerk for several State of Florida agencies, giving him a broad exposure to many areas of the law.  Rafa joined Martin Pringle in 2025 after clerking with the firm for two summers during law school. He focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation, including products liability, as well as employment and business law and banking and financial services.

Fun Fact

Rafa was recognized as an NAIA All-American, the first from Sterling College's soccer program in over 15 years.
