Meet James
James McSweyn joined Martin Pringle in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, James served the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) first as Associate Litigation Counsel and then as Assistant General Counsel. In his role at the KSBHA, James gained valuable insight into the healthcare industry, learning first-hand how hard physicians work on behalf of their patients. He ultimately decided he wanted to work in a legal role that not only supported physicians, but also defended them if the need arises. His experience at the KSBHA also provided him with a detailed understanding of the workings of government administrative agencies and regulatory actions. James graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Creighton University and obtained his law degree from Washburn University School of Law. He focuses his practice on civil & commercial litigation, medical malpractice defense, oil & gas law and professional licensure defense.
